GROW South Antrim
GROW South Antrim (Generating Rural Opportunities Within South Antrim) has been set up to manage and deliver Axis 3 & 4 of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 across Antrim, Carrickfergus & Newtownabbey Borough Councils.
To be eligible for funding under the GROW South Antrim programme, your project must be based in, or demonstrate a significant impact within a rural area of Antrim, Carrickfergus or Newtownabbey.
For the purposes of this programme, rural areas are those with less than 4,500 residents and outside of designated urban areas. In South Antrim this includes the villages of Ballyeaston, Ballynure, Ballyrobert, Burnside, Crumlin, Doagh, Parkgate, Straid, Templepatrick, Toome, Whitehead and all outlying rural areas.
Issues covered include:
This course will be of particular interest to individuals:
These 2 day training courses are aimed at any individual interested in increasing their knowledge of mental health and has been funded through Suicide Prevention, Public Health Agency (Northern Area) and organised by Janine Gaston (Suicide Prevention Development Officer, SARN) and Kathy Wolff (Development Officer, Community Relations Forum).
Places are limited. We will be allocating places on a first come first serve basis. A completed registration form must be received to confirm your commitment to attend the full 2 days of training. We will then confirm if you have been successful in securing a place.
This course is FREE to those over 18 years old who work and/or live in the Antrim/Newtownabbey Areas. We will try hard to start and finish on time and so it is important that you arrive in time to register at 9.15am. Tea / coffee and lunch will be provided.
Please contact Janine Gaston at SARN for further details, if required.
